Kelly's Heroes World War II 20mm Range

Italian Paratroops

A rather unusual subject, very well portrayed could be a quick summation of the group of figures that John passed to me for review.

The models represent Italian Paratroopers of World War II, and in particular a heavy weapons team conisting of a squad leader kneeling with a sub machine carbine signalling with his right arm, and two riflemen one standing, the other kneeling firing. All are well details with folds in their jump gear clearly and cleanly cast. The webbing and equipment is clearly defined and will take paint exceptionally well.

Pride of place though goes to a small group depicting an anti tank rifle team. The weapon resting on a cast metal rock outcrop with a helmeted kneeling crew member aiming the monstrous barrel. the third part of the group is a crew member leaning on the rocks holding a fresh magazine which he is about to press into place.

All in all a very very nice group and I can highly recommend them to you. In fact seeing them has made me eager to catch a sight of other ranges from Mr Grubb who seems to specialise in the unusual aspects of the war with such subjects as Cossacks, D.A.K., Partisans (Russian, Polish, and Yugoslav), S.S. Handschar mountain troops, and Soviet naval infantry.
