Dwarf Wars

Westwind, one of the foremost producers of fantasy gaming models in the UK, have not, until now, ventured into what might be seen as the "traditional" area of Fantasy games. Most have their roots deep in the Tolkienesque tales of Elves and Dwarves, and the market has seen a massive range of such models, the quality of which has varied from dross to the sublime. It is a brave trader then who decides to enter this area with any great hope of success.

Of course quality of product counts for a lot, but you need more, a hook on which to hang your range and to catch the attention of the "seen it all before" punter! And that is just what Westwind have done; going beyond Tolkien to the Norse Saga for inspiration, Frank Chadwick has devised a new and intriguing mythology which is the source of the aforementioned Dwarf wars. 

From the chaos remaining after Ragnarok and the demise of the Gods of Asgard a fresh evil develops to threaten the shattered realms of Elves and Men. In the Vale of Mists the hordes of darkness for their planned onslaught against the divided kingdoms. But standing in the way of this new evil is the Warking of the Western Dwarves, Ironfist by name determined to forge a new Alliance and save the World from destruction.

You should be, Andy Cooper has designed a range of terrific models to match this storyline and they will he hitting the shelves anytime now. I have seen a small number of prerelease models, and they are excellent, bound to attract the attention of Fantasy gamers old and new, and first class models in their own right. So watch out for the adds.
