This book is the latest addition to the campaign series and gives a good history of the battles for Guam. Both the initial loss by the Americans in 1941 and the recapture in 1944.

The book is excellently laid out with a clear and concise chronology of the events that occurred throughout the campaign.

It deals with the commanders of both armies involved in the occupation of the island and the forces deployed there.

There are the usual very well illustrated pictures and very good map detailing in both plan view and 3 dimensions.

This book would be a must have for anyone who wanted to familiarise themselves with this conflict and get a basic knowledge of what happened there.

The final pages suggest further reading.

Overall another quality book from Osprey publishing.
