Disabled Access
I've just found this page on your website, and would like to comment about disabled access at shows. I have been attending shows for the past 15 years, mainly Triples,
Newark, Derby and Burton and I think that overall access is improving. Burton has always been good, Derby is great now that it is at the Uni.
Newark is good now that the floor has been raised. Triples is ok as long as you are prepared to take on the massed rugby scrum. Ask Steve Crofts how I cope with this one, he does not call me 'hell on wheels' for nothing! The one thing that attracted me to this hobby 30 years ago was that I could take part with no concessions towards my disability.

Thanks for your letter John. With the advent of the Disability Discrimination Act, and particularly with the elements regarding access that came into force on the 1st October, it is no longer desirable for show organisers to ensure full accessibility for the disabled, it is a legal obligation
