South African National Wargames Championships

The 20th South African National Wargames Championships shall be held at Imperial Hotel, Loop Street, Pietermaritzburg on 11 and 12 December 2004.

The following periods may be played should sufficient entries be received:
Ancients figure gaming
Draughts (Anglo-American)
Draughts (International)
Diplomacy
Horse & Musket
Morabaraba 
SesothoMorabaraba
Pike & Shot
World War II

In keeping with the South African Wargames Union’s policies (and the sponsorship received from HARMONY) re development programmes, all entries are free and gratis to all players who enter Draughts, Morabaraba and SesothoMorabaraba at such championship.

Already there is keen interest, and a number of entries have already been received. Most notable of all the entries already received is that from Pavel Rabiner of the USA and of Ganso Gelie of the Cameroon.

The event therefore promises not only to exhibit the best of South African talent, but also to have a heathy dose of international participation as well.
