Well I am not sure what category this set of rules falls under. They are extensive, complicated and rely heavily on a games master to ensure a flowing game oh and a pc with a spreadsheet to resolve combat.
They are a cross between dungeons and dragons and like hybrids and traditional rule-sets.
To play the game you need to generate your character a la D&D. This can make you super human, puny or somewhere in between. The game master generates all the non- player characters friends or foes.
The writer clearly states these rules are not for anyone who likes to get on with the game by sacrificing some realism for playability.
Having read all 152 pages of these rules twice over I still don't understand them they are complicated have too many variables and although they have been play-tested I have difficulty believing you could get a game resolved in my club in an week let alone an evening.
That said they are a good set of rules if you have got the time inclination and motivation to take them onboard.
The author has generated charts for every weapon and eventuality and to play a game the game master will require the patience of a saint to flick back and forth from one chart to another to resolve various issues, or have the rules learnt completely.
Overall these may be good rules but you need to be prepared to sacrifice playability for technical details.
