Hexon II Terrain Boards
![]() |
One of the eternal problems of the wargamers is building, and storing, decent looking terrain. Building large scale modular terrain block may look good, but the problem of where the Hell you put them after the game limits their
practicability.
Kallistra have come up with a very practical response with the Hexon system. These interlocking, high density plastic, units are developed around a series of hexagonal shapes. The design is tough, and just to prove the claims I decided to stand on one. With my not inconsiderable weight the plastic bent but did not break. And when I stepped off it, the unit returned to its original shape. So I jumped on it a few times, still with no appreciable result.
Then Richard used it as a trampoline! Still no effect.
The units are joined together by clips, and can be interchanged to build just about any configuration desired.
Supplied in black plastic the units simply require washing in warmy soapy water and drying thoroughly before painting and then completing the terrain with flock. The range is continually expanding and hills and ready flocked units are available from Kallistra

A box of 21 Hexon boards costs £44.95+ P and P enough for a 3ft x 4ft combat area, and represents a very good investment for the dedicated gamer or club. Individual units cost £2.75 each. I have to admit....I am impressed! For more info, check out the website at www.kallistra.co.uk
