Storm of Chaos
![]() |
"A new champion of the Gods has arisen to lead the armies of Chaos, Archaon, Lord of the End Times, has mustered a force not seen since the Great war Against Chaos, and has struck hard and fast towards the heart of the Empire. Hell-bent on the destruction of all that the Empire stands for, his forces march for the city of Middenheim, the greatest bastion of the Old World"
This is the latest scenario created by the GW crew for the inhabitants of Warhammer World. Personally I have always found the forces of Chaos to be the most interesting of the armies to be found in the series and the new range of models supporting this new chapter in the creative mythology are really excellent.
As usual to support the gamer GW have produced a special supplement describing in detail the background to the new scenario. These always make fascinating reading and illustrate how the creative capacity of GW is not simply limited to the production of models, but to the whole raisson d'etre of their ranges.
The supplement also contains special rules for the new weapons, troop types and characters introduced in the
supplement; And at this point a word or warning, watch out for Be'lakor, the Dark Master, he is a real hardcase!
Of course it takes two sides to make a war and the supplement also contains a stack of info regarding the Empire and it's allies facing the Chaos assault. The main force is the army of Middenheim, a mountainous stronghold on the edge of the Northern wastes. The troops include The warriors of Ulric, The Teutogen Guard,
Wolf Kin and Hunting Hounds all of which are pretty impressive fighters, and when linked with special rules such as "relentless chase" will make them formidable foes. The book also
includes full colour banner for Middenhein units that may be copied and added to you units
With painting instructions, scenarios, and a wealth of superb pictures that as always give rise to supreme envy of the painters skill, this latest supplement is a must for all Warhammer gamers and a snip at £12.
