Dadi & Piombo

The problem about a typical British education is that learning a foreign language now seems to consist of persuading pupils to speak more slowly, loudly, while waving your hands about, and adding an “O” to the end of each phrase.

Now this may be very successful in persuading multilingual Spanish waiters that we are a nation of clowns, but believe me it is not much help in reading a magazine such as Dadi and Piombo. Which is a great pity, because visually the magazine is first class. Produced in a  glossy forty pages, packed with colour and black and white pics.

Many of the adds seem very familiar, although the wording is somewhat confusing. Having said that, some of the Italian adds for models are absolutely mouthwatering. The articles include a DBM scenario on the Battle of Cortenuova, Gettysburg refought using Fire and Fury, and Trebia 1799 fought with Shako

All in all an excellent mag, and priced at 6.20 Euros compares favourably with its UK counterparts. For full details contact: dadiepiombo@libero.it , or check out the website at: www.dadiepiombo.com

(My Italian is pretty bad but I think the title of the magazine in English is Dice and Lead, but I am happy to be corrected)
