The Square

When I made my first visit to warfare at Reading I was struck by the display on a small stall, showing a range of very colourful scale posters and banners for the Spanish Civil War. The detail was excellent, and I thought they were just the thing that was needed by a friend of mine who was considering investing in a 20mm Republican army. I was very pleased then when I was handed a small pack of the products of The Square for review.

The flags banners and posters are printed on soft sheen paper, which although peelable and self adhesive have to be cut out before use. The range is quite remarkable and covers a number of conflicts of the C20th. The range are a great boon for the wargamer and modeller in general, and I can imagine some railway modellers going crazy for the British advertising posters. I can also imagine just how the collection of Nazi flags and posters would enhance the numerous World War 2 games I see up and down the country.

The range also includes Japanese and Chinese posters and banners, as well as an extensive Spanish Civil War collection. Some of the more unusual items in the range are Arabic banners and Pirate flags. The scale is compatible with 15 and 20mm. The high quality of these works of art would add a brilliant finishing touch to even the best of models. Highly recommended!
