Austerlitz, 12.02.2004

In keeping with the normal consideration of authority to the important historical battlefields of Europe, there is a plan to build a radar station on the key Pratzen Heights at Austerlitz, not only permanently disfiguring perhaps the most important Napoleonic battlefield, and a key site in European history, but probbaly making a large section of the battlesite off limits to visitors. If you are not happy about this now is the time to make your voice heard!

LA PROCLAMATION D'AUSTERLITZ


Nous protestons contre l'intention de l'OTAN de construire sur le site un radar militaire sur les hauteurs du Pratzen.

Nous protestons contre n'importe quelle construction qui dérangerait ce site fabuleux, de la région et le paysage qui l'entoure. Nous considérons cette intention comme un acte despotique. 

Pour les milliers de gens qui considère l'histoire comme quelque chose de plus important que seulement un clignotement du passé les hauteurs du Pratzen et le morceau du monument, l'endroit qui honore des centaines de milliers morts des guerres Napoléonien il y a 200 ans. 

Les hauteurs et le monument doivent continuer à nous rappeler l'histoire et pas a défiguré le site par un radar, il y a d'autres régions plus adéquates pour cela, que dans le paysage qui entoure la zone du monument conservée. 

Nous faisons cette appel pour soutenir notre tentative pour changer la décision
et d'arrêter n'importe quelles constructions au caractère similaire dans le domaine de la zone de champ de bataille d'Austerlitz et de sa proximité.

PROCLAMATION OF AUSTERLITZ


We protest against the intent to build the NATO military radar site on the Prace (Pratzen) heights. We protest against any construction activity which would in any way disturb the appearance of the locality and the surrounding landscape. 

We consider this intent as the act of the clerical arbitrary rule. For thousands of people who consider the history as something more than just a blink of the past the Prace heights and the Piece Monument are the place of the highest piety, the place which honours hundreds of thousands dead of the Napoleonic Wars 200 years ago. The heights and the Monument must continue to serve as place of piety and meditation and not as the radar site for which there are certainly many more suitable localities in the surrounding landscape than the preserved monument zone. 

We call everybody to support our endeavour to change the decision and to stop any construction activities of the similar character in the area of the preserved Austerlitz battlefield zone and its close proximity.

Die USTERLITZ-VERKÜNDUNG 

Wir protestieren gegen die Absicht der NATO, auf dem Standort ein Militärradar auf den Höhen Pratzen zu bauen. Wir protestieren gegen irgendeine Konstruktion, die diesen fabelhaften Standort von der Region stören würde und die Landschaft, die umgibt. Wir betrachten diese Absicht als eine despotische Handlung. 
Für die Tausend Leute, das die Geschichte als etwas wichtig eres ansieht als nur ein Blinken der Vergangenheit die Höhen Pratzen und das Stück des Monumentes, die Stelle, die tote Hunderttausende von den Napoléone Kriegen ehrt vor 200 Jahren. 

Die Höhen und das Monument müssen weiterhin an uns erinnern geschichte und nicht haben den Standort durch ein Radar entstellt er dort an andere adäquatere Regionen für das als in der Landschaft, die die bewahrte Zone des Monumentes umgibt. 

Wir machen diesen Aufruf, um unseren Versuch zu unterstützen, um die Entscheidung zu ändern und sich anzuhalten irgendwelche Konstruktionen am ähnlichen Charakter im Bereich der Zone des Feldes der Schlacht Austerlitz und ihrer Nähe.
