Dungeon Dudes Tabletop Scenario and Many New Characters

A free set of Tabletop Rules compatible with the Dungeon Dudes "Not Just Another Virtual Pet" online trainable characters is now available at RPGNOW.com. This complementary set of rules features custom e-Adventure Tiles created by award winning cartographer, Edward Bourelle of SkeletonKey Games (http://www.skeletonkeygames.com). The rules are designed to give players yet another way to interact with their Dungeon Dude characters. The rules are simple, consistent with the online version of the Dungeon Dudes, small in scope, and easily set up.
The Dungeon Dudes are online trainable characters similar to virtual pets with RPG style advancement. There are a lot of things to do with a Dungeon Dude online: train them, earn experience points, gain levels, battle new creatures, find gold, discover new items, learn new skills, see new phrases, meet new Dudes. Players can share their Dude's code with other players in online forums or discussion groups.
The Dungeon Dudes went online at the end of 2003 with the purpose of supplying web surfers with something fun to do and businesses with a unique venue to promote their products. The Network has been steadily growing and attracting visitors with a wide array of related interests: pen-and-paper role-playing games, board games, comic books, computer games, and miniatures games.
In addition to the newly released Tabletop Rules, about 20 new characters will be made available over the next few months. Sets of Dinosaurs, Dragons, Warriors, and a scenario using the previously released Voodoo Dude are currently being tested. A group of simple games will be made available at the Dungeon Dudes "Not Just Another Virtual Pet" home page http://www.dungeondude.com. The first three are online now. They are a Matching Game, a Whack! game, and Ask the Psychic Dude. Several more are planned for the coming months.
