Review by Andy Saunders Of
Continental Infantryman of the American Revolution
Osprey publishing Warrior 68
Written by John Milsop with illustrations by Steve Noon
ISBN 1-84176-586-4

This book is the latest
addition to the warrior series and gives a good history of the daily life of
service in the continental army.
I had eagerly awaited the release of this book as it is
currently a period I have been devoting a lot of my time to and have found
researching this period to be a difficult affair even with the information super
highway at my finger tips.
The book is excellently laid out with a
concise chronology of the events that occurred during the revolutionary years in
America.
The book sits along side the other previous releases in the
men at arms series but has a more in depth view of the soldier’s daily life
and the trials and tribulations there in.
It deals with the evolution of the fledgling continental
army into a complete military fighting force.
There are some nice illustrations within the book with the
usual descriptive plate commentary section.
This book is a must have for anyone researching this
period, it is a good source of inspiration for the painter and gamer, and nicely
adds to those already in the ranges for the American revolution.
