South African School Championships Results

 

The South African Wargames Union held its annual South African School Championships on the weekend of 27 and 28 July 2002 at the Old Edwardian Society, 11 Ninth Avenue, Lower Houghton, Johannesburg.

 

The final top three positions were:

 

ANCIENTS - High School

 1st    Vincent Lane            OE     121 points      Medieval Portuguese

2nd   Angelo Stathoussis   PEN     92 points      Medieval Sicilian

3rd    Nicholas Clare          OE       69 points      Middle Assyrian

 

DRAUGHTS - High School

 1st    Ronnie Manana        LGK        8 points   

2nd   Thabo Mokoena        LGK        7 points

3rd    Mxolisi Radebe        LGK         5 points

 

MORABARABA - High School

 1st    Sifiso Bomelo         LGK       29 points

2nd    Bafana Mazibuko   LGK       17 points

3rd    Samuel Mahlangu  LGK        11 points

 

MORABARABA - Primary School

 1st   Innocent Khubeka    LGK       19 points

2nd  Madoda Hlophe        LGK        9 points

3rd   Benjamin Nkosi       LGK        6 points
