A kind of short history of ECW.

The original concept of English Computer Wargames was formed by Dave Millward and Simon Norburn in the early 1980's. During the 80's the programs grew from 8 bit Atari's to 32 bit IBM's. Finally at the end of the 80's Dave and Simon decided to form ECW ( English Computer Wargames), after the increasing demand for their products.

Their products have evolved from the simple number crunching to complex and realistic computer moderated wargames. The games have always been revolutionary and are perhaps something of a challenge to "traditional" wargames. However now computers are an everyday part of of lives, why not in wargames?

Dedication: To Matt Wildeman, who was the original Webmaster for Wargames Forum and started all this madness ! Matt is still around, but busy on more lucrative projects these days. He can still be found in the company, in the bar, buying the drinks, or contacted at Matt@wargames.co.uk
